So many sad things happened around us every minute, every second... But it just seem so much that people are simply ignoring the dangers all around them...
Why do people still do dangerous act even though the knew it was dangerous? Why do people still smoke when they know its causes cancer? Why do people still jay-walk eventhough they know its completely fatal? Why do people engage in casual sex though they know that cases of unwanted pregnancies, STD and even AIDS are still very abundent?
When will people ever learn and start applying the things that they learnt in their daily lives? Must these people wait till some earth-shattering tragedy happen to them then they know what is 'regret'? Don't we know 'prevention is better than cure'? Haven't we know/seen enough that there is simply no cure for certain stuff?
Some may say that they may not be the 'lucky' one, but even if it is just 0.1% chane, its is still very high chance that you might get it. just make a simple calculation. If Singapore's population size is 1,000,000 we will have 100,000 people being the 'lucky' one. Isn't this cold hard fact very scary...
Just look at the number of people suffering from cancer, contracted AIDS, inolved in accident etc. No one wants to be involve in any unfortunate event, by why do people still choose to disregard certain issues?
I am puzzled by how people think and what people do...
