Today's chem paper was not too bad.. I hope I can get at least 35/60.. c'mon.. help me God!! Mondays is MCQ.. i must get a decent score!! Jia you!!
Guess what i found out today... I realised i am really fat now... i have disgusting cellulite on the entire back of my thighs, the side of my thighs.. Damn sad now... I guess i really gotta exercise... I hate cellulite!!! i must go read up more on cellulite.. *freak*
The following is adapted from http://www.cellulite.us.com/
The orange peel syndrome, cottage cheese skin, and the mattress phenomenon are all terms used to describe cellulite, the lumpy deposits of dimpled fat that plagues the thighs and buttocks of millions of women around the world. However, it is comforting to know that if you do have cellulite you are not alone as nearly all women develop cellulite at some stage in their lives.
Cellulite is not a medical or scientific term but it is commonly used term to describe the pitting, bulging and deformation of the skin usually affecting the thighs, buttocks, hips, breasts and the abdomen of women. Over the years there has been a lot of debate about what actually constitutes cellulite and whether it differs from other fat cells in the body. Chemical analysis has shown that cellulite is the same as ordinary fat cells and that it is not a unique substance. Fat cells are held together by a network of fibers that are nourished and cleansed by body fluids. Poor circulation can result in a slowing down of this cleansing process and an accumulation of waste materials that thicken and harden into immovable pockets of fat causing the dimple affect. The symptoms of cellulite include feelings of tightness and heaviness in the legs. The skin can be tender when pinched, pressed or when massaged vigorously and it can also feel hard and cold compared to other areas of skin. However, it can also feel spongy and doughy * disgusting* . On the positive side cellulite is not an illness and it is unlikely to have any ill effects on your health, rather it is a sign that maybe something in your lifestyle is not as healthy as it could be.
SIX STEPS FOR GETTING RID OF CELLULITE
1. DIET ( I will watch out on my diet from now on!)
Drink plenty of water to flush out toxins which are stored in fat tissue. It is recommended to drink four to six glasses of water daily to help fight cellulite. Avoid becoming dehydrated.
Avoid excessive consumption of caffeine, alcohol, and foods high in fat or sugar e.g. Chocolate and candy.
Avoid foods high in salt and refined carbohydrates like white flour, bread and rice.
Eat plenty of fiber and wholegrain foods. Fiber is essential for helping eliminate waste products from the intestinal tract and decreasing the time it lingers in the intestines where toxins can build up.
Try to eat natural food - lots of fruit and vegetables and avoid foods with lots of colorings, preservatives and additives.
2. EXERCISE ( I admit I stopped exercising since God-knows-when )
Nothing can change and maintain the shape of your body better than exercise. Try and do at least twenty minutes everyday and make it part of your daily routine. Exercise will help tone weak and saggy muscles and help circulation and blood flow to cellulite prone areas.
3. QUIT SMOKING ( I don't smoke )
Smoking can contribute to the accumulation of toxins in the body. The smoke you inhale from each cigarette is loaded with poisons and toxins. Smoking also dramatically restricts the circulation of blood, inhibiting the correct nutrition and oxygenation of the cells. If you can’t quit, try and cut down.
4. AVOID UNNECESSARY MEDICATION ( I don't take unnecessary medication )
Particularly avoid diet-pills, pep-pills, sleeping pills, laxatives and diuretic pills.
5. DE-STRESS ( I am not sure if i am stressed )
Make relaxation part of your daily routine and don’t let stress get on top of you. Perhaps try yoga or meditation to help deal with stress in your life.
6. MASSAGE ( I hardly pamper myself like that )
Vigorous massage improves the circulation and toxins are flushed out too, but it is important to treat the whole body not just the problem areas.
My resolutions...
~I am going to get my Fancl cream ( supposed to be good and its affordable )
~I will massage my thigh more often.. i will not be lazy about this!
~I am going to exercise more
~I am going to drink loads of water... plain water only! ( i have not been doing my body justice duiring these days of 'mugging'.. I've been drinking too much caffeine to stay awake.. eating too much unhealthy food.. not enough veggies, fruits!! i realised my mistakes *cries* )
I feel ugly now... *sad* I have 2 packets of Loreal Nutrilift.. I hope it will reduce the cellulite at my thighs.. I am fat now! Pig!! ArgHH!!! * freaking girl wake up and stop slacking* I am broke, fat, full of cellulite, studies not good, irritating, bad tempered, lazy, untidy, full of pimples!! What a loser!! * sigh*
Detox!! No sinful food for me anymore!! I must keep away me chocolates! *cries* More swimming!!
